A small blanket like a buggy blanket or muslin square to put over our yoga mats (small like 50cm x 70cm) for a little bit of extra cleanliness.
Hand sanitiser, we sanitise our hands at the beginning of each class.

The play space is a shoe free zone for hygiene reasons and we request that all walking wobblers & toddlers wear "non-slip" toddler socks to the PlayLabs to reduce the risk of slipping.
During the summer months no socks / barefoot are also okay for children but adults should wear socks please.
Non slip socks are available in most shops inc. Penney’s and Dunnes.

A few things to know...
Arrival time - Please arrive at your class start time or no more that 5 mins early. We want you to see us at our very best and we have a lot of equipment to set up before each class and in many venues we only get access 20 minutes before the class so if possible, please only arrive no more than 5 minutes before class start time. It would mean a lot to your class leader.
*
No phones - We have a no phone / no photography policy for the first half of the class, if you do wish to take photo's during the activity time at the end of class that's okay.
*
The play space is a shoe-free zone - our shoes usually have nasty things on them so we ask that you take your shoes off and have your socks on before coming to the play space.
*
The PlayLabs are ideally snack-free zones. Due to potential allergies and choking hazards it is preferable that food isn't brought into class. It can also be hard for toddlers to see other children eating if they aren't. But if you do need to give them a snack please bring them to the side of the room.
Of course, you are more than welcome to breastfeed or offer a bottle at anytime.
*
Nappies - Please if you wouldn't mind, bring your nappies home with you. Some of the bins in the halls or rooms that we are in will not be changed during the week so we have been asked by our venues to ask you guys to bring the nappies home with you.
*
Photography in class - We know you love to take photos of your little ones in the PlayLabs and we love to see them. But please ensure that if you are taking photos or videos you do not include anyone else in the frame unless you have asked permission first. But not phone's until the activity time. If your little one is attending with a minder please could you pass this important message on to them.

At ClapHandies we are meticulous with cleanliness.
We only use props that can be washed in a dishwasher or wiped with a sterile wipe. Any fabric-based props are washed in a washing machine before being used again (we've doubled up on many items). So your props will be always wiped, washed or sanitised before you receive them.
You will see that your leader will have a wash bag or bucket where all used props are placed. Your leader spends at least 1 hour each day cleaning equipment.
No handheld equipment (toys and props) will be reused by another child before being washed and sanitised.
Books (which are difficult to wash) are not used for 24 hours after last use.
If you have any questions or feedback please email us.

Please ensure that you do not attend class if you or your child has any covid symptoms. The covid symptoms in children can be found here, and for adults here. PLEASE check the symptom list before you leave to come to class. It is essential we all do this to make sure everyone feels as safe as possible in our PlayLabs.
In addition to staying home if either of you have covid symptoms, we also ask not to attend until you are 48 hours recovered from the following: vomiting bug, impetigo, conjunctivitis, chicken pox, hand foot and mouth, or other similar contagious conditions.

If is your first time attending ClapHandies, please don't worry if your little one doesn't settle well on the first week, it can take a few weeks for them to feel completely comfortable and know what the class is all about.
Remember YOU are the magic in ClapHandies, you are by far their favourite playmate, so join-in, be silly, sing out loud. They learn from you so go on be playful.
